Founded in 1996, Singles For Charity is a social and charitable organization that creates raises money for One Way Farm. The One Way Farm Children's Home was founded in 1976 by Barbara and Gerald Condo as a non-profit organization committed to caring for abused, abandoned and neglected children (ages 6 to 21) in Southwestern Ohio.
Singles For Charity provides opportunities for single adults in the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio metropolitan area to meet and mingle, while raising money for charity. A Board Of Volunteers organizes social events and promotes these events via a mailing list. All proceeds are donated to the One Way Farm, a home for abused and abandoned children.
Social events fall into two categories:
Happy Hours – Held approximately every six weeks at upscale bars and restaurants, these events are promoted via e-mails from our mailing list. There is no admission charge for happy hours.
Formal Dances – Held about twice a year, typically at country clubs, where the attire is black tie optional, these events are promoted via written invitations from our mailing list. Proceeds from advance reservations are donated to the One Way Farm.
The Singles For Charity mailing list is our primary asset. It contains approximately 1000 names and street addresses and 450 e-mail addresses. In addition to promoting Singles For Charity charitable events, we occasionally e-mail notices about other selective events of interest to our singles community. In all circumstances, this mailing list is kept strictly confidential. The primary source of new names for the mailing list is people currently on the list.
